Danielle Lo Passo

VAPA Founder, Singing & Piano

Since founding Vocal Adrenaline Performing Arts in 2011, Founder Danielle Lo Passo has grown to be one of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after singing and piano teachers.

From humble beginnings with fewer than 20 students, Vocal Adrenaline has now expanded to 4 locations, travelled to Nashville to record at the world-renowned Blackbird Studio, and celebrates countless professional alumni. Even though VAPA has rightfully earned the title of the Gold Coast’s most reputable musical school, Danielle prides herself on always striving to better VAPA’s teachings, and maintaining the supportive family environment the studio was built on.

Danielle draws on her lifetime of experience in the performing arts, and her extensive and practical knowledge of both the voice and performance, to provide high quality training to her students. Having worked as a teacher for over 16 years, Danielle conducts her lessons with an unrivalled passion and endeavours to get the most out of each student, helping them to reach far beyond their own imagined potential.

Danielle holds a CMus for piano, and notably furthered her music education by obtaining an Advanced Diploma of Audio Engineering. This qualification allows her to provide students with further training and industry exposure by producing professionally recorded demos.

Through her vast experience working with emerging singer-songwriters, Danielle has naturally progressed into the artist mentoring space. While she mentors numerous up-and-coming Australian artists, Danielle also mentors internationally as a Tribe Leader with Nashville Artist Development University (NADU). Danielle is also currently in the process of developing a boutique management company to help nurture and support developing artists whilst working to build their profiles within the professional music industry.

During her career, Danielle has taught and mentored some of Australia’s most exciting young talent, including former The Voice Australia contestant Emmagen Rain. Whilst Emmagen was the youngest contestant of the show’s 2020 season, she has also held the number one spot on Triple J Unearthed – her single City Lights Call stayed in the top spot for two weeks. Danielle also mentors recording artist India Dupriez, who has obtained professional management in the United States.

When Danielle isn’t working with her students, you can find her planning future overseas studio trips, workshops and rural tours. Although VAPA has grown to such heights, Danielle still embodies the VAPA family mantra of “live your passion” with everything that she does.
